Mission Statement
Discern the public interest and direct compatible land development and redevelopment. Anticipate needs and problems that development, or population change, or change in economic conditions may bring, and determine methods to meet the needs.
Organization
The Department of Planning and Community Development provides staff support to the Arlington Redevelopment Board or ARB. The ARB is the Town's Planning Board and is also a redevelopment authority. The Department Director is appointed by and reports to the Town Manager.
