The Arlington Council on Aging values the diversity of our participants, staff, volunteers, and the Arlington community. We strive to model and promote a welcoming environment by embracing our aging community including differences in race, socioeconomic status, cultural background, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, and other forms of uniqueness.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Council on Aging (COA) is to provide advocacy, support services, and programs to help Arlington elders live dignified and independent lives. The Council’s primary responsibilities are to design, promote, and implement services to address the identified needs of the community’s elder population and to coordinate existing services in the community. The COA works in concert with public and private agencies and providers in the area, and with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
