The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) invites the public to the Aug 8 workshop to further develop ideas for 21 Pond Lane in Arlington with the goal of making the property more accessible and meaningful for the community. The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. on August 8th at Arlington Town Hall Auditorium, 730 Mass Ave. 

DPCD secured $15,000 in Community Preservation Act funding to review existing conditions and design a proposal for the site's use.  

HomeHarvest, the consultant for the project, has engaged with Arlington residents, especially abutters, to gather preliminary feedback on several concepts for the site. The upcoming public meeting will serve as a workshop to further explore these ideas and gather input from community stakeholders. 

The proposed feasibility study aims to assess suitable uses for 21 Pond Lane in terms of improvements to its ecological function and its design as a public open space. The project seeks to enhance the site as a conservation and open space asset, aligning with needs identified in existing Town plans such as the Master Plan and the Open Space and Recreation Plan.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend the public meeting to contribute their ideas and feedback on the future of 21 Pond Lane.
