Wild Wonders

A fun, hands-on event where we'll work together to identify as many species as possible

Wild Wonders is Arlington’s version of a “bioblitz,” an event where people use an app called iNaturalist to identify plants, fungi, bugs, and critters. Come get to know your natural neighbors!

This event is being hosted by Tufts University as part of Arlington's Nature Futures Framework initiative. Arlington is a pilot community for the Nature Futures Framework, which is a UN-affiliated, global program to help cities and towns to harmonize the needs of nature and people. Please join us at Wild Wonders to learn more!

To participate, you will need to download the iNaturalist app, which available for iPhone and Android. Please download the app and sign up for iNaturalist in advance.

Using iNaturalist is as easy as taking a photo on your phone. The video below will teach you how to do it in one minute.
