Vaccine Eligibility

People age 5and older who live, work, or study in Massachusetts can get vaccinated against COVID-19. People ages 5-17 can only get the Pfizer vaccine. People age 18 and older can get any vaccine. The vaccine is safe and effective. You don't need an ID or insurance to get it. Book an appointment on vaxfinder.mass.gov.  Local options including CVS and Walgreens.

If you do not have Internet access call 2-1-1 to book a vaccination appt.

COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination Program

The Commonwealth hosts the Mobile Vaccination Programs for Massachusetts organizations to easily vaccinate groups. The services are available for:
  • Public K-12 Schools
  • Community Organizations
  • Priority Populations
  • Community Colleges
  • and other groups

A vaccination provider will come to the organization's host-property to vaccinate individuals. If Moderna or Pfizer is administered, the vaccination provider will return 3-4 weeks later to deliver 2nd doses. Organizations are encouraged to survey individuals and confirm participation prior to requesting a clinic. Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen booster doses are also available.

COVID-19 Hotline Available

You may now call the Health Department hotline (same as flu hotline) to hear the latest COVID-19 update. The recording is updated as status changes and may be reached by calling 781-316-3413.

COVID-19 Home Vaccination Program

The Commonwealth's Department of Public Health offers in-home vaccinations for anyone who is unable to get to a vaccine location, including children 5-11 years old.

You can call the In-Home Vaccination Central Intake Line at (833) 983-0485. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Representatives are available in both English and Spanish, and also have access to translators for over 100 languages.

You will be able to speak with a representative and you will be registered with the Commonwealth's Department of Public Health (DPH), which will handle the scheduling and administration of in-home vaccinations.

Accessing Vaccination Records

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has launched My Vax Records which allows residents to look up their vaccination records, including their COVID-19 vaccination record. Visit myvaxrecords.mass.gov for more information.
