Animal Control Officers (ACO) are trained and granted the authority to intervene in matters related to domestic Animals. Under Massachusetts General Law, The Division of Fisheries and Wildlife have the authority to intervene in matters of wildlife. However, the ACO works closely with the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife and can help provide education when it comes to matters of living with wildlife.
