At their February 5, 2024 meeting the Arlington Redevelopment Board dissolved the Master Plan Implementation Committee and its working groups, including this one.

Zoning Recodification Working Group 

The Zoning Recodification Working Group spent the last 18 months overseeing a comprehensive zoning update. Their goal is to update and revise the Arlington Zoning Bylaw (ZBL) to be clearer, internally consistent, reflective of the Master Plan, and in compliance with M.G.L. Chapter 40A and current case law. Following a year and a half of meetings, interviews, and public engagement, the recodified Zoning Bylaw was approved by the Attorney General. The recodified Zoning Bylaw was adopted at Special Town Meeting on February 12, 2018, and includes amendments through May 2, 2018.

The Zoning Bylaw is now available in the Laws and Regulations sections of the Town’s website. The document has been updated to include internal and external hyperlinks to promote usability.
